Where's the nursing staff when we need them?
It is now 11:45 p.m. We woke her up at roughly 11:00 to begin to feed her. As is custom, we checked her diaper and noticed she had pooped. So we begin to lay her out and I begin to clean her up and change her diaper. While waiting for the diaper, Susannah thought it'd be funny to pee, so she let loose! In the process, there was enough for it to become a puddle (ok, a lake!) and she's decided to swim in it too! So now its all over her back and hair. CAN YOU SAY BATH TIME?!?!
So we go downstairs to the kitchen where we scramble to find all the stuff we need for the bath. She didn't like it - but at this point TOO BAD!!!! ---- LOL!!! So now she's all nice and clean and has fresh clean hair.
We bring her back up, put on new diaper, and begin to do what we originally planned to do. That's feed her. No sooner do we start feeding her, she thinks it'd be even funnier to empty her day's bowels --- AGAIN. This is on top of her latching on and falling asleep..... AHAHHAHAHAHA!!!
Rylie is officially packing her bags and looking for a new home if anyone's interested!

Harry, wait till she poops on you when you are getting her ready for a bath, & there is nothing between your hand & her bottom! LOL!! You did a wonderful job. She is gorgeous!! I know your hearts could not be more proud. (And yes I am up at 12:19 a.m.

AHHHHHH the joys of parenthood! Be glad she isnt a boy and could pee in your face in the middle of the night! lol
ReplyDeleteOh wow, we've been there more than once! By the time Andrew was doing this, we just settled for wiping him down with a wet washcloth instead of a full-on bath. One little piece of advice - don't wake her to feed her - let her wake you when she's hungry! She'll learn to sleep longer at night that way. And babies don't voluntarily starve themselves. Welcome to parenthood - oh the joys!
