July 4th in Staunton

Our little town of Staunton does a great Fourth of July celebration in nearby Gypsy Hill Park each year, and this past year was no exception! My parents came up for the weekend, as did my brother Seth and his fiancee Natalie. We walked to and from the park as needed throughout the day, enjoying live music, great food, and, at about 10 pm, fireworks that are visible from our very own backyard!

Grandpa, Aunt Natalie, and Uncle Seth sitting under the shade of trees enjoying a performance by a local band.

Grammy and Susie Joy sharing some M&M's in the park.

Giggling at something! :)

Mama and a tired Strawberry rode the Gypsy Express, a little train that goes around a track in the middle of the park.

Walking alongside her much-taller Daddy, checking out the concessions and vendors.

Back home for a cook-out! The men relaxed a bit before dinner.

Ready to eat! We girls pose for a shot in front of a spread that included steak-chicken-veggie kabobs, fried green tomatoes, fruit salad, fresh bread, and a homemade peach pie for dessert. YUMMY!

Rylie and Uncle Seth...true love on both sides!

We were thrilled to have a houseful of family spend the night on Saturday night! After a simple breakfast, Susannah was desperate to take Grammy and Grandpa to the "big big playground" to show them all she can do! The teeter-totter is a highlight!
