Our Little Flower Girl

After church today, our family spent time in the backyard enjoying a cool, cloudy July afternoon exploring flowers and practicing our little Strawberry's newfound foot-moving prowess! Our thirteen-month-old has, up until practically this morning, refrained from moving her legs in any coordinated, walking-like fashion, except when she is cruising furniture (and even then she's pretty slow due to being so intentional). Crawling has been her preferred method up until now, and though she can stand alone for a few seconds, she hasn't shown much interest in walking while holding onto our hands or while pushing her cart.

This morning before church, however, she was ready to show her Dada just what she is made of! He was shocked to find out upon his return from Deaf Teen Quest camp in Tennessee that Susannah can now walk with his help. She took him all around our downstairs, and when he offered her the push cart, she took that for a spin, as well! Most things just happen overnight with this baby, it seem...
